What happened:

On June 16th, 2007, Diana, Mark, Hannah (age 2), and Cole (age 3 weeks) were in a terrible car accident in south central Pennsylvania. The car hit the middle concrete divider, bounced back and forth on the road, and then flipped and rolled, finally stopping upside down.
Miraculously, everyone survived the accident, and Mark and the children were almost unscathed. Diana, however, sustained serious injuries, including head trauma and spinal cord damage.

After long-term therapy at Magee Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, Diana went home on December 7th, where she will continue the long process of out-patient therapy. Diana has regained some mobility in her right hand, some small amount in her left. She has also been able to regain some ability to lift her knees. Most importantly, Diana has never lost her faith, a true gift from God. In fact, Diana is stepping into a new gift and has been painting. One of her pictures was featured as part of the 2008 Magee Rehabilitation Center Calendar.

Diana is still on her way to becoming a diaconal minister in the ELCA, though exactly how is still unclear. Her husband Mark has just taken a call as a pastor at a congregation outside of Syracuse, NY.

“For Diana” was initiated by the ministry of Faithful Folk to raise money and encourage people to pray for the Luscombe family. To hear music by Faithful Folk, please visit the Songs, CDs portion of the website.
